Made from the highest quality exotic woods of India. This stunning full set of chess pieces are made from one of the finest manufacturer in India. The dark pieces are RED SANDAL WOOD and the light pieces are natural boxwood.

The pieces were easily distinguishable by easily recognisable symbols atop a pedestal - the King with a crown, the Queen with a coronet and the bishop by a mitre. The pawn is supposed to be a representation of the mason symbol for square and compasses, the knight, is an copy of the horse cut into the elgin marble in italy. The king's height in this set is 6" with a base of 2 5/8" and the pieces are tripple weighted brand new so it's in excellent condition and cushioned with Black Leather bottoms. Compare this to the cloth used to cushion other makers sets.The pieces have a nice taper to them and very wide bottoms.
The RED SANDAL WOOD comes in the family of WHITE SANDAL WOOD. The real white sandal wood tree is posessed by the COBRA SNAKES from all sides and you cant see the stems or roots of the white sandal tree because of the cobra snakes. The white sandal tree is fully covered by the cobra snakes which is availble only in the forests of karnatka state IN INDIA. The real WHITE SANDAL WOOD TREE has a very good property,all the near by trees of real white sandal wood starts smelling like sandal wood in the radius of 1 km area. The RED SANDAL WOOD is also available in that area but the story here is totally different what i described above. These trees of red sandal wood have no smell like the white sandal wood but the other properties are the same as the WHITE SANDAL WOOD.
